Victims

The Victims

In a court of law the victims of the crimes cannot be called victims for it is prejudicial to the process of the court for them to be so called.

I met a man who had been the victim of a machete attack he had a large scars all over his body where they had sewn him back together. he showed us the scars.

I met a woman who had been gang raped. her statement was 14 pages long and each and every defendant - each and every rapist had their own defence lawyer. she was to be questioned, cross-examined by six separate defence barristers, each one defending the rapist that was their client. each one whose purpose and job it was to tear her down and prove that she was a liar, and it was not their client at all, at best, or it was the other five and not him therefore he can go, and ultimately if all five are found to have reasonable doubt that it wasn’t him and not the other five and  all ultimately be acquitted. it would seem perhaps that it’s safe it’s a rapists to act in gangs, and perhaps They know this.

I met a woman who was the victim of an attempted rape. She was perhaps my favourite witness as she stood in the court and despite the horrific crime she had been through gave her evidence.

I liked the way that when she was asked what injuries she had suffered as well as the physical injuries which you needed hospitalisation and the miscarriage because dude beating and the man leaning on her stomach she lost her baby to she added that she was very frightened and I love her for that because she was being asked to describe her injuries and even though that terrible fear is not an injury I think you and its place in her answer and then youand many of us would not answer that we were so very afraid when I asked about our injuries because it is not a physical injury.

The rapist himself officially known as the defendant was stupid to say the least this woman had been. Ally beaten in his attempt to rape her and yet he was being tried only for assault. this is because it is very difficult to get a conviction for rape and with her injuries and the expert witness of the hospital to describe her injuries and for assault was much more certain. Yet it carries a shorter sentaunts and therefore he will be out and raping other women sooner

so - he’s not being tried for  rape he’s being tried for assault, and yet in his defence he says, ‘I wouldn’t do that I didn’t do that  - she’s not even pretty’, which as a defence for assault is clearly terrible and made it very clear but he did indeed attempt to rape her. it’s practically a confession.
