A Paige, a day Inspirational women

I’m not sure I like the title, inspirational women, why not simply inspirational people, some of whom will be women. …

Resilient formidable. These are words used to describe women that are inspirational quite why women cannot be inspirational, without being resilient or formidable. I do not know.

Presumably a quiet, gentle woman who is sensitive and easily affected by adversity, could be inspirational.

One would like to be considered an inspirational woman.

What about me would make me inspirational?

Well, it’s certainly none of the accolades and awards I’ve been given during my time working in sustainability.

I like to think that maybe the work I did mentoring and supporting, nurturing would make be inspirational.

I think that overcoming adversity makes me inspirational

And yet experiencing adversity makes me the opposite of resilient because of the damage it does it makes me damaged and quiet and nervous timid, more likely to hide.

A person cannot be inspirational if they remain hidden.

Researching the sisters that ran Woodbridge boatyard until 1969, who have been described as inspirational women. I realised that their story would be brought to far fewer people if there was not a sculpture there by the boatyard. Love the inspiration.. Mere words, maybe assign as there is explaining the women and their role in the past would not have the same impact, but not bring their story to as many people as you could be inspired by them.

So great visibility as an important part of great inspiration.
