Data lego
My son is building Lego.
At first he opened the box with excitement and pulled out all of the numbered bags. He opened the booklet and started to follow the instructions. Then he opened more bags to find the pieces. Eventually, he opened all of the bags and emptied them into great Big muddle on the floor.
Enter mum.
I gave him 20 Tupperware tubs. Between us we sorted by colour. Another option would be to sort by type. For some colours there was so much Lego we sorted by both type and colour.
In other words, we had ourselves a data problem.
Here is your data in the beginning
Big pile of mixed up bricks. At this date, you would not be able to tell what the Lego model is going to be.
Here is your data after some data cleansing and sorting
Bricks separated by colour In separate pots. He still cannot tell what it is going to be, but you have an idea of the size of the problem.
This is visualised data
Data by type and colour. You starting to see a pet merge you can visualise different possibilities for the end product.
Information
Finished data model.
