I went on holiday in St Albans

 


I took my kids on holiday to one of the UK's unlikeliest cities - they asked 'Why?'

It might be an unusual summer holiday destination but Choosing St Albans, England, for a holiday is a rewarding choice. , especially for those interested in history, architecture, and vibrant local culture. This charming cathedral city, located just north of London, offers a rich tapestry of historical sites and attractions that reflect its 2,000-year history. 1. The cathedral

-I mean, where else can you go and see an actual grave of an actual saint? The Cathedral was our first calling point on the evening that we arrived. It was dark but heavily flood lit. We soon found out why as cables trailed all around and temporary trailers buzzed With activity. St Albans Cathedral is a popular filming location and we had arrived in the midst of the action.

 **Description**: The Cathedral & Abbey Church of Saint Alban is the jewel of St Albans, known for its stunning architecture that spans Norman to Gothic styles. It features the longest nave in England and is home to the Shrine of St Alban, the first British saint.
