I got a lie in this morning and set the alarm for 07 40.
The shopping is coming between 0 8000 and 0900.
It’s the first day back to work after Christmas.
I didn’t sleep well.
But I’m up and dressed the dishwasher is on and the washing machine is on.
Some of the stuff in the dishwasher is been washed twice. Because Gary put dirty things into a clean dishwasher. He then took the plate back out, but left the dirty cutlery and mixed up with a clean cut. Because he told me it was only dirty plates he accidentally put in and then removed. I had said about putting the cutlery away to empty the clean dishwasher ready for filling with dirty things.. And then my fingers touched something sticky. And yes, I’ve contaminated not just to clean cutlery in the dishwasher but the clean cutlery in the drawer because Gary didn’t look before adding dirty things to my dishwasher.
So now he’s added extra work to my workload.
When I told Gary that I’d set my alarm for 07 40 this morning. He claimed it was early. It’s not early it’s a lie because I don’t have to get our son up ready for school and doing his lunch and set him off for bus that leaves at 7:45. It would be early for him because he has a lie in every day.
The shopping that’s coming is a small shop and yet they still managed to do two substitutions.
One substitution is pizza. The other is pasta.
Both are fine. Though It does represent That represent 16% of the shopping.
And it reminded me of a time when my boss Claire were telling me a story about ordering pizza.
She and her boyfriend had wanted a thin crust pizza. Which is the sort I’ve ordered from Sainsbury’s. They wanted to order a ready-made pizza delivered to their house. They rang a pizza company that delivers pizza. That pizza company only delivers deep pan pizza. So she hung up on them. She was telling me this story not only as though it must be really interesting, but also as though it makes her terribly sophisticated to be so much of a pizza connoisseur, so sophisticated, such a woman of the world but she will only eat thin crust to the point that she had hung up on a company who only delivers Deep pan.
And I find myself wondering this morning, why would you be so proud of your preference for thin crust that you would tell this story? Let alone hang up on the people that come with the only does deep pan.
Then I saw the deep pan substitution on the venue it occurred to me that this might be why the thin crust was burnt by the pizza oven. It might be that the pizza oven setting is for deep pan pizza.
