Accomplished

 

Yesterday was the works Christmas dinner. I’m still full this morning From my mushroom Wellington, and Christmas pudding. When my alarm went off this morning I have to say, I’m glad I Hadn’t also been drinking so I can get up for my first shift of the day - preparing my son for school. Watching him with pride as he went to catch his bus, Before returning My mind to my paid employment, I found myself reflecting on something a colleague had said over dinner. What is the world coming to when unmarried mothers are proud? Clutching metaphorical pearls. Here is my response

 The world will be full of educated and Accomplished women who are Independent, Contributing to society, And raising children with deep principles and a strong work ethic. Sounds terrible, doesn’t it?
